Krengsengan Daging Recipe Food - The recipe was adapted right from Krengsengan Kambing which is translated as Sliced Goat on Petis Desfallecimiento. Petis Udang means Shrimp Paste in English. Desire get confused with Patis (Tagalog term just for striper sauce).
Quite a few Eastern Javanese recipes want Petis. They are just for Petis Udang, Petis Ikan (Fish Paste) and also Petis Kupang (I have no notion what the Language term for Kupang). When i grew up in a small city adjacent to the capital city for East Java gets the (Surabaya), Sidoarjo. Sidoarjo is very popular with Fish and Shellfish products, which include Petis and even Kerupuk (Chips).
Ingredients:
- 500 gr boneless beef, sliced
- 300 ml water
- 3 red chilli peppers, discard the seed, finely sliced
- 2 tbsp Indonesian sweet soy sauce ( I’d rather use Cap Bango than ABC, but since I can not find Cap Bango for purchase in Winnipeg, I use ABC instead)
- 1 tbsp shrimp paste (it’s different with dried shrimp paste or terasi)
- 3 tbsp oil to saute
Puree/Blend:
- 6 bird’s eye chilies (I added sambal oelek instead)
- 1 tsp ground white pepper
- 1 large tomato
- 6 shallots
- 3 cloves garlic
- sat as desired
Instructions:
one Marinate meat with nice soy sauce as well as petis udang for 15 : 30 minutes.
second . Heat oil within a skillet over medium temperature, add pureed blend, saute until aromatic. Add meat, mix thru until the meat rigid and add water. Include the skillet with lid as well as cook in medium temperature, stir occasionally till the meats are tender and also the water nearly evaporates.
three. Uncover the frying pan, keep stirring till the oil of meats emerge.
four. Add red chilli potatoes, stir until smooth. Remove from heat as well as serve.
NOTES : Use less red-colored chillies and chicken chillies, if you do not like hot flavor.
Suggestions: Beat the meats with a meat mallet prior to slicing/cutting to tenderize
