Rawon Buntut Recipe - After bought beef oxtail by a halal store, I asked the butcher to separate 1 . 1 kgs of beef oxtail into couple of plastic bags, 500 grams and 600 grams. 525 grams of beef oxtail was made just for Buntut Bumbu Asem Asem and had 600 grams other to make another. I decided to make the Rawon Buntut. Rawon is really an Eastern Javanese Diced Beef in Black Soup. Besides diced beef, When i incorporated oxtail.

Ingredients:
- 4 lime kaffir leaves
- 1 lemongrass, bruised
- 1 cm galangal, bruised
- 2 green onions, cut into 2 cm length
- 2.5 litter
- 600 grams beef oxtail
- 4 shallots, finely sliced
- salt and sugar as desired
Puree /Grind:
3 garlics
1 cm ginger
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1 1/2 tsp corriander seed
5 peeled black nuts, soak in 1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp ground white pepper
salt as desired
5 shallots
Sides Dishes and Condiments:
Steamed rice
Deep fried tempeh
Shrimp crackers
Sambal terasi
Short bean sprouts
Guidelines:
- Stir fry sliced up shallots in a small level of cooking oil untill savoury.
- Put ground spices, calcium kaffir leaves, lemongrass and also galangal. Stir fry right up until all the spices grilled.
- Put beef oxtail, sear the particular meat until no longer green. Add water, provide for a boil by adding sliced environmentally friendly onions. Turn to reduced medium heat, allow it simmer until the various meats is tender. Remove coming from heat and Serve with aspect dishes and assaisonnement.
Ideas:
To tenderize ground beef oxtail quicker, boil the particular oxtail with a pressure pot.
